Apex Systems Scam
First of all I don’t believe Apex Systems is actually behind this. Let’s hope not at least.
So I got a letter today, at work of all places, supposedly from Apex Systems. Included with the letter was a check for about $2500. The letter included instructions which involved sending most of the money back via Western Union. The area codes for their phone and fax aren’t the same, and don’t match with the address. Also the letter is obviously faked since the logo looks like it was scanned. Can we say scam? I’m forwarding the whole thing to a friend at the Charleston County Sheriffs office. So please, if you see anything like this alert the authorities or call the Western Union Fraud department. I’ve also seen tons of people chatting on the net about getting similar letters. Just remember, if the offer sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
Here is the letter and form I received.

I received the same letter and a check for $3,700.00 I emailed Apex Systems Inc and they said they are aware of the fraud and that they are in NO WAY associated with this and they are trying with several different agencies to stop it from happening. They suggested to report it to the local authorities and to file fraud charges with the USPS because mailing the scam crap via the US Mail is a federal offense.
That is what I figured. I posted this so people looking it up online would know that its a scam and to not follow the instructions.
