This playlist is a mix of some favorites and new songs I’ve discovered recently with female vocals. I consider it to be a little darker themed and perfect for fall. Give it a listen and if you like it show it some love over on 8tracks!
- Fyfe Monroe – Doll Parts
- Bat For Lashes – A Forest
- Isobel Campbell – Don’t Make It Easy
- Danielle Parente – Blood On My Hands
- Kate Boy – Burn
- London Grammar – The Devil Inside
- Hillary Hand – Tameless Tongues
- Nicole Sabourne – Hater’s Don’t Dance
I’m back with a brand new 8tracks playlist along with some news! Over the last few months a friend of mine and I have been working on getting a new blog up and running for the fall. It’s not quite ready to be launched yet but here’s a little sneak of some of the things we’ll be doing. All throughout the season we’ll be releasing playlists based on witches. Along with a variety of other lifestyle posts. Be on the lookout in the next few weeks for more places to find us.
Check out our first playlist and let us know what you think!
Starting this month I’m going to be trying to do new mixes at least once a month, with the hope of doing them once a week. Some of them might be inspired by shows or movies that I’ve been watching while others might be based on muses for some of my writing projects. Either way, be on the lookout for new ones to be posted on here Mondays, or follow me on 8tracks to hear them first!
This was supposed to be posted back in November but I guess I forgot to schedule it.
Last year I got to see the amazing Grace Potter live! I’ve been a fan of her stuff for a while now and when her new solo album came out I really loved the different sound. A lot of it reminds me of Taylor Dayne (in the best possible way). The show though was far beyond anything I expected. I’ve never seen her live before and I’d never watched any live videos so I went in with no real knowledge of what her live performances were like.
I can’t express enough how powerful she is on stage. Overall her music is so diverse that it spreads over so many different genres that it felt like I was at some sort of festival, as if I was watching different bands with different musical backgrounds and styles all playing. It kept things fresh and interesting with every new song that started.
Then there’s her voice. I’ve been to a lot of concerts but never has someone’s voice blown me away so much. You never really can before hearing someone live just how well they sing and I have to admit I thought her live voice was better than her recorded one. I know its cliche to say but I felt like I went through a religious experience during the show. If you ever get the chance, go see her live! I know I’m never going to miss another show here in Charleston.
Every Monday I’ve decided to share something music related whether it be a song or album that I’m listening to currently, a mix I’ve made, a concert I’ve attended or anything else within the realm of music.
Today I’m sharing a brand new playlist I’ve created on 8tracks. You can see the track listing below. I hope you enjoy!
