Great tea for your throat

Alright guys I wanted to post this since I’ve been sick the past few days. I’m a huge tea drinker and its been the only thing keeping me from losing my voice the past two days. Now before I start I want to say that I don’t drink tea from tea bags. I use loose tea from Teavana so that I can custom blend my own flavors. In the future I may start posting more of my favorite blends on here.

Orange Peppermint Tea

Ingredients & Tools:

First off I put 2 teaspoons of the orange tea into the tea maker. Then I add 1 teaspoon of the peppermint in. Fill with hot water (I normally boil water in my tea kettle and then add it to the tea maker). Next I add the honey. How much honey you add is really up to you. The tea is great without it as well. Let it sit for about six minutes. I normally get 4-6 cups out of this.

Notes

You can watch the instructional video for the Perfect Tea Maker here.

I will make a quick suggestion. Normally when I make a blend I make it in “bulk” and store it in a canister so that I can just go back to it without having to make it again. However with anything that uses peppermint I normally only make a days worth (week at the most) because the peppermint is so strong it will overpower the other flavors rather quickly (learned that the hard way). Also 1/3-1/2 is the most I use proprtion wise for the same reason.
