How I cut my monthly bills down
So I got my tax refund two days ago (didn’t realize that till today). This is a HUGE lift off my shoulders. I need to pay my car insurance by the end of the month and renew my hosting package by Monday. I honestly was not sure if I’d be able to. That’s how bad it is for me right now. I’m also late on my rent and haven’t been grocery shopping in two months.
Over the last month I’ve been doing anything and everything to cut costs off of my bills. If you’re trying to do the same I have some tips.
- Check your home phone bill. I knocked $20 off of mine monthly for features that I didn’t use. Infact I hardly ever use my home phone so I dropped it to as low as I could get it. I have everything I need on my company cell phone.
- I called up Comcast because I was subscribed to Howard Stern TV which I just didn’t watch nearly enough to pay the $10 a month for it. While I was canceling that I asked if there were any deals going on. The woman told me she could give me Showtime for $20 a month for four months. I told her that I already had Showtime as part of my package. So she kindly switched me to the special rate.
So all in all I’ve dropped $40 a month off of my bills for at least the next four months. Hey, it’s something and it definitly helps. It doesn’t hurt to call and try. If I find any other ways to cut some bills down I’ll be sure to let y’all know.
If you have any other tips leave them in a comment!
