My Daily Routine – Hair Care

January 19, 2016

Since making the switch to Perfectly Posh I thought it was time to go over some of my daily routines that I’ve adopted. The first one I wanted to talk about is my morning routine.

First I’m going to start with my hair since I’ve always had problems with it. I’m not someone that spends a lot of time on their hair and I don’t really know much other than how to put it up in a ponytail. It’s just never been my thing. I blow dry and straighten every day on top of only getting it cut a couple of times a year. Needless to say, it can be an oily, damaged, split end mess. When Posh launched the End Mend line I knew I had to try it out. Their skin care products had helped me so much already I figured their hair products would work too. I bough the shampoo and conditioner after getting the spritz in my enrollment kit. It took a few days for my hair to adjust and because its so long I tend to use more than the recommended amount, but my hair has been transformed. I have a lot less frizz now and that’s even after being caught out in the rain without an umbrella a few times. My ends feel much more healthy than they normally do at this stage (I’m going on nine months without a trim).

Grace Potter

January 18, 2016

This was supposed to be posted back in November but I guess I forgot to schedule it.

Last year I got to see the amazing Grace Potter live! I’ve been a fan of her stuff for a while now and when her new solo album came out I really loved the different sound. A lot of it reminds me of Taylor Dayne (in the best possible way). The show though was far beyond anything I expected. I’ve never seen her live before and I’d never watched any live videos so I went in with no real knowledge of what her live performances were like.

I can’t express enough how powerful she is on stage. Overall her music is so diverse that it spreads over so many different genres that it felt like I was at some sort of festival, as if I was watching different bands with different musical backgrounds and styles all playing. It kept things fresh and interesting with every new song that started.

Then there’s her voice. I’ve been to a lot of concerts but never has someone’s voice blown me away so much. You never really can before hearing someone live just how well they sing and I have to admit I thought her live voice was better than her recorded one. I know its cliche to say but I felt like I went through a religious experience during the show. If you ever get the chance, go see her live! I know I’m never going to miss another show here in Charleston.

New Roomie

January 18, 2016

Back on the 9th I finally decided it was time to adopt. I’ve been living on my own now for almost 10 years and I’ve always wanted to get a pet but I never could follow through with it. I can’t be certain whether it was because I didn’t think I had the time or I just couldn’t find one at the shelters that I really connected to. That all changed when I stopped by Pet Helpers and headed into the kitten room. I instantly fell in love and when they let her out so I could hold her I knew I had to take her home right then.

$250 and an hour later I pulled up to my house with my new kitten and everything I needed to get started with making her feel at home. The last week has been an interesting learning experience. I grew up with having cats but I’d never had to take care of one on my own but I’m thankful that they’re relatively easy, or at least my little Frankie is.

And as any new enthusiastic pet parent, I’ve already started her own Instagram. Follow her @frankiemeowsrelax

Destiny Community Café Fundraiser

October 23, 2015

Here in North Charleston there’s something really great happening. The Destiny Community Café, located at 5060 Dorchester Rd, Ste 320, is a pay what you can cafe offering healthy home and nutritious meals to everyone. Luckily for me, it’s located right down the street from where I work and I’ve stopped in many times for lunch. As I’m trying to live a healthier life and change my eating habits this place has been a miracle. With my office being in an area that’s predominately filled with nothing but fast food I sometimes find it hard to keep my lunches, when I don’t bring them, on the healthy side.

Untitled-3Ever since starting as an Independent Consultant for Perfectly Posh in July, I’ve been looking for a way to donate my time and energy to a cause that I believe in. So after speaking with the owners I’ve offered to hold a fundraiser for them in hopes of raising enough money to feed 100 people that normally wouldn’t be able to afford a healthy lunch. I will be donating commissions back to the café at the end of the fundraiser.

Participating in the fundraiser is easy!

  1. Visit my Fundraiser Event on my Perfectly Posh website.
  2. Shop our catalog of products and don’t forget to check out our holiday specials.
  3. During checkout make sure you select Mary Morelli as your consultant and Destiny Community Cafe Fundraiser as the event. You will only be allowed one order per account in the event so if you would like to make more than one please contact me so I will know to apply your order to the total.
  4. Share the link to this post with your family, friends and on social media.
  5. Join us on Facebook to stay up to date with the fundraiser!
  6. Check back here daily to see our progress!

American Horror Story Hotel

October 21, 2015

It’s been a really long time since I was able to instantly get into a show and with my complete lack of interest in the last season of AHS I wasn’t really sure how Hotel was going to stack up. Let’s just say that I was blown away in the first ten minutes of the premiere and as the show progressed I knew I was going to fully enjoy this season. Not only does that have to do with the cast of Hotel, which is amazing, and the story this season is right in my interest niche; but its the music so far that I fully believe has made the show for me. Its very rare to find something so full of beautiful goth rock and new wave inspired sounds but that’s what the episodes have been full of and it lends itself back to the show. The story, the wardrobe and the music are all tying in beautifully and I haven’t been happier for a show in a very long time.

Its inspired me to make a few playlists on 8tracks inspired by the show. Some of the songs from the first two episodes pop up in there as well as different songs from artists have have already been featured. I have a second playlist done and a third on the way all with my hopeful picks I’d love to hear in one of the episodes.

You can take a listen to the first playlist here:

Spooky Posh is Here!

September 23, 2015

I got the Spooky Posh collection in this week and wanted to share this video with everyone! Since making the video I’ve also tried the Pie To Die For scrub and it was great! All of the scents are amazing and the body scrub smells just like a pumpkin pie. I also cannot stress enough how much I love the Cackle Spackle. I’ts become my favorite face mask!. I Haven’t tried the Witchy Wash yet but the mint and lavender scent is nice and clean but with a fall feel to it.

If you haven’t already done so make sure you go to http://getposhwithmary.com and sign up for your Perks Rewards account! Any purchases made will earn you points to use on future items and samples. You can also refer your own friends and family members to earn even more points!
