So every year when I was younger my mom would make pumpkin bread in the fall. Since its more like cake than bread I was always super excited about it. I love pumpkin. Since moving out on my own I’ve taken over the task of making it. This year I’m actually making six loaves. I made two last night but my mom wants to make them with me today. So I thought I would share some pictures and the recipe.

Recipe

  • 3 cups white sugar
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 cup oil
  • 2 cups pumpkin (1 can)
  • 3 eggs

Mix all together
Put in 2 loaf pans (greased and floured)
Bake at 350 degrees for about an hour (make sure to not over bake)

The result is one incredibly moist and delicious pumpkin bread.
