Thanksgiving
So Thanksgiving turned out to be pretty awesome. Despite the family drama that always seems to ensue.
Wednesday I got off of work early and went and hung out with my dad. We watched Star Trek (I’ve seen it at least six times now). After that I went and saw The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day. I’ll have more on that in a later post.
Thursday I woke up and watched the parade. I tweeted through most of it, if you missed that awesomeness then you fail :p After the parade I went over to my parent’s house. It was the first time they were hosting Thanksgiving. Normally we have it at my grandma’s house; but she has been really bad off with all of the stuff going on with her brain. I was just happy we were having a turkey. Last year we had these awful fried turkey breasts that were “infused with flavors”. More like infused with crap. Most people seemed to like them though. Anyways, after dinner we went to see New Moon again. That review is coming too I promise. Later on that night I went to the Holiday Festival of Lights with my cousin and her boyfriend. We just drove around a couple of times since the park was about to close.
Friday I went over and hung out with my parents again. I helped my mom decorate for Christmas a little. Then I got my dad to order my Xmas present. A new 27″ iMac. Finally! My poor G5 is, is well a G5. My laptop is in serious need of some surgery. Its running so crazy slow. I’m not sure what the deal with it is. The only sad part is, my dad is actually making me wait until Christmas to give it to me. Its going to be great to have all the software and games on one computer finally. The only question is what to do with my current iMac. I don’t think I’ll be getting rid of it any time soon, so suggestions would rock.
Anywho, Friday night we went out to dinner with the family in town from Miami. Hit up the Starfish Grille. I love that place. I just wish Kathleen was working. After dinner we headed over to the lights. We actually got out and checked out the gift shops. My uncle went and got us tickets for the train ride. Let me tell you, I hate that thing. It was so freaking cold on it and I was not dressed for it. This pic is of the light that Morelli HVAC sponsors every year. Since WE ARE “The Problem Solvers” (yes that was about you News 2).
The rest of the weekend was spent with a certain someone. Watched the Clemson/Carolina game. Total disappointment Clemson. Most of the weekend was spent watching Battlestar Galactica. The certain someone hasn’t seen it yet so we are watching it together. Every time I watch it I pick up on more little things that I didn’t notice before. I really miss that show. I can’t wait for Caprica to start.
This thing is crazy long. So I’m done for now.
